Community and Environment


In GPA Energy our commitment to the community is reflected in the various actions we have consistently done in the 7 years we've been operating.

Based on an assessment of socio-economic context, we contribute GPA Energy Sustainable Community Development benefiting institutions and communities where we operate.

Environment Programme has as main objective:

  • Focus investments on actions that contribute to obtaining social license to operate based on trust relationships among the Community-Contractor and PEP.
  • Promote social benefit activities under the following areas: Education, Health and Sustainable Production Projects.
  • As well as actions with transverse approaches: Culture, Capacity Building, Development of local social capital, technology transfer and organizational development.
  • Provide grants and financial contributions and in-kind to municipalities and nonprofit institutions.
  • Execute actions with community support construction machinery and equipment in operation, delivering supplies and construction materials and skilled workforce.

In Harmony with the Environment

As part of the Environmental Program at the School Zaragoza Ignacio Escobedo, Coahuila promotes the reforestation donating fruit trees; Also educate elementary students about the importance of giving, how to plant and take care the trees.

We follow the rules of SEMARNAT, performing an environmental impact in preservation the species of animals and reforestation in the area where we operated.





Committed to communities where we operate

From 2007 to date there have been more than 70 works of Community Support in the amount of investment amounting to over 8 million.

The works that stand out are:

  • Construction of Ecological Science Center and Desert Studies
  • Sustainable projects for home gardens
  • Sewing workshop equipment and medical clinic
  • Paving of streets and roads
  • Renovation and equipping schools
  • Construction of irrigation canals
  • Desilting of ponds and construction of containment dikes stormwater, water well drilling
  • Construction of sidewalks and cords
  • Donations of computer equipment
